Rua Studio/Gallery took the summer off to take care of the busy things and enjoy life . Now we are back with a new studio location and we are trying some new things.  We are working with our friends over at the Chimney's of Oakcreek to host our new studio and some creative events.

We are starting with our new Rua Artist Group. This group is for artists wanting to connect with other artists and all the art related things happening in our community like art shows and events that we can participate in. This group meets weekly to do creative activities, have thoughtful input on art-making, and to encourage you to continue to make art and get better at it. Open to all creative people.


We meet on Mondays from 7-8pm at Rua Studio located at 1956 Chimney Lane in Kettering. Call 937-985-4588 for directions or more info.

People ask us "What does 'Rua' mean?  It is the Hebrew word for "spirit/breath/life".  Closely identifying with "breathing life into something".  This is what has happened at Rua Studio Gallery.  It began as an empty space, then became an art studio, and then was brought to life with the gallery.

"Delicious" will be our last show at our current 2218 Andrew Road location.  We have had a great and successful 2 years of making and showing art at this location. It is time for something new. Rua Studio/Gallery is taking the summer off to transition into our next step. In the mean time, Rua will continue to function as an art studio, and as a venue to show artwork at locations that will be announced in the future. We are looking forward to watching new spaces come to life.

We are also heading up a community art gallery within the Chimney's of Oakcreek Clubhouse.  We have friends at the Chimney's and feel strongly about supporting local art endeavors. Come visit the gallery at 1956 Chimney Lane in the Kettering part of Dayton, Ohio.
